Coming together as a team, let's take a moment to pause (10 secs), and let's begin with a quote from...
Proverbs 18:13 - "Whoever answers before listening, theirs is folly and shame."
These quotes show the value of being Personal. Being Personal is a great way to live Dignity, making it real in our lives today! So, as we reflect today, let's refresh our memories on the meaning of Dignity, and take a closer look at how being Personal brings it to life.
Dignity
Dignity means, Respect for the worth of every person, recognition and commitment to the value of diverse individuals and perspectives, and special concerns for the poor and underserved.
We know there are many ways to live Dignity; so let's focus on just one, being Personal.
Personal
Provide care that is collaborative, respectful, and provides a positive CHRISTUS experience.
So, let's ask ourselves this question...
Am I dedicated to understanding the needs of those I serve? Pause 20 sec before moving on.
I'd like to invite us all to make being Personal a reality in our lives today by...
Encouraging others to share their stories.
Being Personal isn't new to CHRISTUS Health, in fact, we see this same type of Dignity in our heritage...
At Christus Southwest Louisiana, an associate is a wonderful example of giving our patients genuine care and empathy. She greets each person with a beautiful smile, listens to their stories and offers loving and kind feedback. One of our beloved patients even brought her a birthday gift after visiting a place they once spoke about together.
